Kati is a 9 year-old girl who lives with her grandparents in the old capital of Ayutthaya in Thailand. One day she learns that her mother has a fatal disease and is resting in a coastal town. Kati then leaves for the coastal town to be with her mother for as long as she may live. This is the long awaited film adaptation of the moving juvenile story from Thailand about a girl who lives as earnest life in spite o mounting difficulties.

The film, with its overpowering visual beauty and suspense, was praised by the Turkish film industry in 2007 as “one of the greatest motion pictures ever made”. It is directed by Abdullah Oguz, who entered filmmaking after establishing a production company in Turkey where her produced programs for television and music videos.
